Improving Diversity and Inclusion One Event at a Time

Ngātahi is an innovative event-planning web app designed to foster cultural and religious connections among colleagues. Developed in collaboration with Diversity Works NZ, its mission is to promote diversity and inclusion in workplaces across Aotearoa, while actively combating misunderstandings, stereotypes, and prejudice.

Rooted in the cultural values of Aotearoa, Ngātahi’s design incorporates essential Māori Tikanga principles. Manaakitanga, emphasizing kindness and respect, and whanaungatanga, focusing on nurturing relationships and fostering a sense of belonging, are key drivers of this project.

Ngātahi provides a suite of event planning tools to facilitate meaningful interactions and deeper understanding among colleagues. It offers opportunities to celebrate diverse cultures and religions, access reliable articles to learn more about these traditions, and gain insights on engaging in respectful conversations on sensitive topics. To ensure seamless integration, Ngātahi connects with popular workplace communication platforms such as Outlook, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
